GenerLink Transfer Switches
Backup Power Made Simple
Altamaha EMC has partnered with our electrical supplier, https://www.gresco.com/Gresco, to offer members savings on GenerLink transfer switches. GenerLink provides a convenient way to connect a portable generator directly to your home's electrical system during a power outage.
How GenerLink Works
GenerLink is installed behind your electric meter and connects your home to a portable generator using a provided 20-foot cord. When an outage occurs, connect the generator to the GenerLink, start the generator, and turn on only the breakers for the circuits you want to power.
GenerLink helps eliminate the need for extension cords and provides a safer, more convenient connection for portable generator use. An indicator light lets you know when utility power has been restored.
Important: Never exceed your generator's rated capacity. Doing so can damage the generator or cause it to shut down.
Models Available
GenerLink currently offers two models:
- 30-Amp Model: Rated for up to 7,200 running watts
- 40-Amp Model: Rated for up to 9,600 running watts
The appropriate model depends on your home's electrical service, backup power needs, and generator size.
Is GenerLink Right for My Home?
